This notice describes personal-data processing on humanoiduptime.com, including technical access logs and the evidence-submission endpoint.

- The website is hosted by Hetzner. Technical access logs may include IP address, request time, requested path, user agent, referrer and response metadata. Logs are size-rotated with bounded files, so retention is traffic-dependent rather than a fixed number of days. Aggregate, bot-filtered traffic counts may be calculated from these logs without creating or retaining visitor profiles. This processing supports secure and reliable website delivery and abuse prevention under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- 3. Evidence submissions
- Evidence submissions are stored privately for editorial review. The form requires no name or email address. Raw submissions are automatically deleted after one year. Sources and information added to the published editorial record remain subject to that record's version history. Do not submit confidential, export-controlled or unnecessary personal information. Processing is based on the legitimate interest in evaluating public evidence and corrections under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- 4. Rate limiting
- The evidence endpoint uses an IP address in volatile memory for an approximately one-hour rate-limit window. The application does not add that IP address to the stored evidence submission.
- 5. Email contact
- If you contact the operator by email, the supplied contact details and message are processed to handle the inquiry. Data is retained only as long as needed for that purpose or applicable legal obligations.
- 6. Cookies and traffic measurement
- HumanoidUptime uses a self-hosted, cookie-free Umami installation to count browser page views and a small set of product interactions: opening a record or source, downloading public data, opening the evidence form and visiting the public GitHub repositories. The tracker records the page path, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, language, screen size and an approximate country or region. Umami derives an anonymous session identifier from technical request data instead of storing an analytics cookie. Do Not Track is respected. Analytics data is kept on HumanoidUptime's server and is not sent to an advertising network. This processing helps understand and improve the public research service and is based on the operator's legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs remain the separate source for known-bot and unclassified request counts. You can disable audience measurement through your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Any previously saved opt-out remains effective in that browser. We also record the time a page is open in a visible browser tab and one-time content scroll milestones at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. These are limited events, not recordings of mouse movements or page contents, and do not establish whether someone actually read the text.

- 8. Recipients and transfers
- Personal data is shared only where technically necessary to operate the site, process a submission or comply with law. No international transfer is intentionally initiated by HumanoidUptime unless stated here.
- 9. Your rights
- Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to eligible processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
